Episode 95 - James Yeo (Left Handed Giant Brewing Co.)

Episode 95 - James Yeo (Left Handed Giant Brewing Co.)

This week's featured artist is Brighton based artist James Yeo. We came to learn of James through his labels and designs for Left Handed Giant Brewing Co. We spoke with Yeo to learn about his story, love of art and creation and how he organized his files and helps to name the beers too. A fellow lover of music James shares with us a great project that he and his wife are working on to discover as well as deep dive weekly into new music. A lot of fun and sarcasm and great perspective into his work and insight into one of my favorite labels he made as a gift for his father in law. Enjoy this great episode as we continue to introduce you to great artists and designers from around the world here in Season 9.

Episode 21 - Tim Oxton (Night Shift Brewing)

Episode 21 - Tim Oxton (Night Shift Brewing)

Tim Oxton is the Art Director for Night Shift Brewing. It's a role that much like the brewery's success and growth in the craft beer space, has grown organically. Being hired at your brother's company for anyone can be exciting and stressful all at once, but it is also a source of pride for Tim. Over time what started out as helping his brother out evolved into a full-time position that is integral in the image and brand that is NS and Tim's hard work and passion for it play a big part in that. Tim not only is responsible for the labels, but also the photography and images of the brewery. It was great to learn about his process, working with his brother, his photography projects and to chat and share a laugh. This is almost like a podcast version of his strangers with random object project - we'd never met (and still haven't in 3-D) but shared a moment and some stories.

Episode 5 - Craig Gilbert (New England Brewing Co.)

Episode 5 - Craig Gilbert (New England Brewing Co.)

Craig Gilbert is the jack of all trades at CT-based brewery, New England Brewing Company. One of the many hats Craig wears at the brewery is Artist. He is responsible for some of their iconic labels and in-house tap handle art. We caught up with Craig one night after closing to discuss Gandhi Bot, cease and desist via Lucas Films and the most embarrassing can artwork he could think of in Fuzz Baby Ducks. This and much more are sure to give you a new appreciation for Craig and all he does in and out of the brewery.
